When trying to batch upload I can select the directory I want, and it then lists the filenames on the next page - however, no previews of the images are shown.

I select the destination album and then click on "Insert selected files", the next page loads but no status images are loaded in it - no actual images are added to the selected album, either.

here is the debug info from the image selection page:

after much searching through the code myself (and here - but couldn't find anything to help with this specific problem) I found that it was down to the wrong software for resizing being selected.

an error message would have been helpful at this point

Joachim Müller

you would have gotten an error message if you would have done as suggested in the docs, the upload troubleshooting tutorial and in thousands of postings of supporters where we told users what to do to get a meaningful error message.

Horus_Kol

I did follow what was in the docs and the troubleshooting thread - and I read countless other threads.

The only error message I saw was when I actually hit the "showthumb.php" file directly - and all that said was that the image was "damaged" - not very helpful.

GauGau - I have read a lot of other threads trying to find a problem that approximated mine, and all the responses I have seen from you were rude and condescending, just like the one you posted above.
