IS this even possible?

Hi, I am a complete newb to Coppermine, I played around with it a bit last year trying to make my own themes. I completely messed it up and I feel overwhelmed now. I tried modifying existing themes but kept either breaking them or could not get them looking like what I want.

I want to use this to create a page for a site so that a non-computer user can upload photos, videos and descriptions of horses for sale. What I want to create is something like this:

Main Page

Details (more information) page (sub album?)

With no other graphics, buttons or links than what is pictured there (other than the power by Coppermine credit).

Notice there are still buttons and links, and how do I get rid of the "random files" and "last additions" sections?

Is this even remotely possible? Am I just completely in over my head here?
