Hi, I upgraded from 1.3.3 to 1.4.3, but same characters like "è" or "ì" are replaced by a square and a lot of galleries are disappeared. Theme looks larger than before.
Please check here www.larummata.com/gallery

I'm really desperate! Thank you

michibru

galleries are visible in the list with thumbnail and also their images in "random" and "last comments" but if you click on gallery thumbnail you'll see only a white page, for example try to enter the first

if I rename albums with correct name they work, but theme is strange, maybe a problem during upload witch binary/ascii?

works as expected for me on your page. When setting encoding to utf-8, did you convert the content of your database as well using charset manager?

"Your site is already configured to use utf-8. You don't need this script and should leave this page."

i can't remember wich charset was in use in prevoius versione, which was the default?

michibru

however i tried to check but when i click on the button i get this error

"2/3 - Checking conversion from iso-8859-2 to utf-8
You must check that all the cells in blue are displayed properly.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: iconv() in /web/htdocs/www.larummata.com/home/gallery/charsetmgr.php on line 76"

what should I do?

for example try to look last comments of this photo
http://www.larummata.com/gallery/displayimage.php?album=243&pos=133

Joachim Müller

if you don't have iconv then you can't use the charsetmgr.
You have two options: set your encoding back to iso8859-1 (with all negative drawbacks this will have) or manually convert all textual content.

don't edit "wrong postings" out though, they make the reply you got look silly and the thread becomes even more useless. Locking this one now. In the future, please respect board rules.
