I have the following issue when trying to bridge coppermine and Mambo 4.5.3
I created a bridge to Mambo Server with the Bridge Manager.  When I click Login in Coppermine it takes me to the Mambo Server login page.  I can login as joe/joe, but when i go to the coppermine gallery http://forbesmillphoto.com/gallery the joe profile is not logged in.

Coppermine install: http://www.forbesmillphoto.com/gallery
Forum install: http://www.forbesmillphoto.com
Coppermine version: cpg1.4.3
Forum version: Mambo 4.5.3
Test user account: joe / joe

BridgeManager settings:
Forum URL:  http://www.forbesmillphoto.com
Relative path to your BBS's config file:  ../
Use post-based groups?:  Yes

EDIT
I see that Coppermine 1.4x and Mambo is currently unsupported.  I'll try some other options.  Hopefully Mamboforge will be up and runnng again soon.  It looks like some of the necessary files to integrate Mambo with Coppermine are there.

I have the Coppermine Documentation open on chapter 5.3 - covers bridging. Mambo conveniently has a radio button. Looks so easy. People seem to be afraid to ask questions on this fourm. I think this one is valid and in the right place. Looks pretty easy from the interface. Click the radio button for Mambo...previously in the documentation, there's something about cookies that I don't understand. An unusual situation with these programs that are oriented towards a right brained photographer...with left brain support group - the programmers!  ;)

I don't know if the MAMBO COMBO bridges or not to be honest and I'm about to try it instead of going out on a Saturday. I've read the forums, faqs, and documentation for two weeks and am going to try to get Mambo and Coppermine to work together, as it says it will. Please keep us informed on your progress as there could acutally be someone who reads the forum (other than the seemingly overworked moderators) that can help. We may get some coaching. How else can you learn this stuff, unless you are a programmer? I'm becoming one out of necessity, though I am still trying to have time enough left to be a photographer and it makes my head hurt. To be honest again, I dread the installation of the Mambo to work with the Coppermine but if it works, it will be great for me.

Yes, with the bridging manager the process looks simple enough, however, I am still having issues bridging Mambo with Coppermine.  I too, am a photographer, who is becoming a programmer out of necessity.  I enjoy tinkering, however, I am spending a significant amount of time reading through the forum in search of  Mambo/Coppermine bridge help.  I've fiddled with the files so much I think I'll do a clean install of the programs and start fresh.  Similar posts on the Mambo / Coppermine topic require files from Mamboforge, which is currently under maintenance.

I did have some luck bridging SMF with Coppermine, however, I am not really interested in created an online forum.  My goal is to create a Mambo CMS with Coppermine bundled with it.

Thanks for your insight.  I hope others in the same situation can help out.  Good luck with your own install / bridging attempt.

I just don't get the forum business. That junk is all over the place- blogs ad nausem...you know what they say about pictures being compared to words. Apparently Mambo has some good teplates for photography- some really good exhibits on their site. I'm sitting here with my finger on the trigger now. Just uploading Mambo on dial-up and found some more posts on installations. Just think, if it WAS easy to do, there wouldn't be any use for these FORUMS!  :D

I did a fresh install of Coppermine 1.4.3 and Mambo 4.5.  Fresh DB tables and all.  When I click the login on CPG it takes me to the Mambo login, but when I login CPG still doesn't recognize the user.  It is as if I did not login at all.  I ran the bridge manager with the following info: (No longer Valid, been removed)

Forum URL:      http://www.forbesmillphoto.com
Relative path to your BBS's config file:    ../
Use post-based groups?:    0

Options: wait for Mamboforge to get back online or bridge coppermine to SMF and then SMF to Mambo.

I think I'll do some research on the SMF to mambo bridge (that is of course, if I can get the coppermine / smf bridge to work properly).

That prompt: "No Longer Valid, been removed" is troubling. Do you suppose it came from the MySql database? I know there's a login sequence within that program, which acts as a server... but I don't understand that at all. Maybe a cookie problem too. Instructions in Coppermine, who put the radio button for bridging into the program, do not elaborate nearly enough on the cookie issues.

I wish I could help you but am not far enough advanced in programming. I've been loathe to install, prior to reading some successful installs first. I've already put a lot of time in this so-called streamlined CMS but haven't seen the stream.  :-X Bad weekend too...camera malfunctioned among other problems...please keep me posted. Maybe someone will come by and assist...

You probably already read it but I found this issue that has a correction that may be resposible for problems with bridging:

I found an updated bridge file here:
