Since upgrading to 1.4.3 I have only been able to edit individual files in my albums...I can't hit Edit Files for the whole album, when I try it freezes up my browser and I have to restart my computer to get back online...

does this happen as well when you temporarily switch to the classic theme http://www.staticfiends.com/photos/?theme=classic ? Try finding out if this related to your heavily modified custom theme or to the fact that youre using url redirection/rewriting

You have to find the cuplrit by temporarily turning off everything that might interfere - temporarily disable the SEF url plugin (or your custom url rewrite mod). Try re-uploading the "broken" file as well.

freesouljah

I did as advised and neither of those were the culprit  ???

Joachim Müller

Well, can't think of anything else - your theme is heavily modified, the only thing I can recommend is temporarily rolling back your custom theme and all other customizations to a vanilla copy of coppermine to try to track the issue.

before going back to vanilla I decided to do a little more investigating and found that if the album has 1 file in it it works fine...

Joachim Müller

OK, this narrows it down. However, I tried the same thing on the demo, but I can't replicate - it doesn't freeze. On the other side, if there's no file in an album, there's no point in clicking "edit files", so could we label this as "strange thing, but doesn't matter after all"?

freesouljah

yeah...but if there are more than file in the album (many of mine have 100+) it freezes...  ???

Joachim Müller

OK, I got this wrong then - I thought that the freeze only happened if the album was empty. I stand corrected, but still I don't have an idea what to recommend except what I suggested above, sorry.

freesouljah

this turned out to be browser related...it is a problem with firefox, because when I try it in IE it works just fine...
