How to use batch add files??

err message:
========
There are no folders inside the "albums" folder yet. Make sure to create at least one custom folder within "albums" folder and ftp-upload your files there. You mustn't upload to the "userpics" nor "edit" folders, they are reserved for http uploads and internal purposes.

I build my web site in my local host.
No matter i use windows-file-manager or ftp client software to create/upload a new folder within "albums" folder , it allways show the err message list above .....why??

version:  cpg 1.4.4
cpg:       1.4.4
os:         win2003
php:       5.1.1
apache:  2.0.55
mysql:    5.0.16

try switching to the classic batch-add interface when on Windows. Self-hosting is not recommended.

I got it!
The problem is cause by the setting below when select 'yes':
Browsable interface (recommended)     Yes    No

I don't know what is the reason......
Anyway , it is ok to use "batch add files" when i change 'yes' to 'no'!
cpg:       1.4.4
os:         win2003
php:       5.1.1
apache:  2.0.55
mysql:    5.0.16

yes, it's OK to switch to the classic interface instead of the browsable one, that's why I suggested doing it.

I have the same problem.

I have two categories setup and 5 albums in each. I created a new folder in the /albums/uploads folder - gallery/albums/uploads/pics. I chmod'd the folder to 777. I ftp'd my pics to that new folder. I select Batch Add Files and all I see is /upload and index.php.  I click /upload and my new folder is not seen, I only see "..up one level".   I tried unchecking Browsable Interface from Yes to No.  I still can not see my folder /gallery/albums/uploads/pics.

I've read the doc and about 50 posts on this board. What might I be missing?

SOLVED.....and I'm not going to admit to anything  :-\
