Helping out a friend who can't login as admin to a Fantastico installation.  Found it is version 1.3.4.

Read the forums for 2 hours and manually upgraded to 1.4.4 following instructions in DOC. Performed update.php. Ran version check and don't have access rights to see version.

Still won't recognize admin id/password...obviously.  Password reminder does not recognize my admin email address as a registerd user and I don't know how to use pphmyadmin.
