Hi,

I have a problem. For business reasons I am being forced to move my photo gallery from one server to another. Also, I will have to use a slightly different directory and URL stucture. I am in the process of copying my jpegs across now. Once the file transfer has completed, will I just have to dump the SQL from the old database and import it to the new one and update directory settings in the CPG admin area for it all to work? Thanks

Regards, Mark

dumping the mysql db and restoring it on the new server is the correct process. You mustn't change the structure of folders and files within coppermine's albums folder though, as the information in the database contains reference to the location of the files (as a relative path, seen from the albums folder).
