I hope I'm not missing something obvious here.

How can I change the placement of my album thumbnails and descriptions (the part that says so many files, last one added and delete/properties/edit files if you are logged in)?  Currently they sit to the right of the album thumbnail and I would like them BELOW the thumbnail so they don't throw off my layout.

In my config, I've got "yes" checked next to:
Display file caption (in addition to title) below the thumbnail
- and -
Display file name below the thumbnail

I didn't see any other spot that referenced the placement (I could be blind though).  And I think before I had changed it in my template.html, but I've since upgraded and changed skins (an altered version of giallo) and I'm not sure where else to look.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks!!

Find $template_album_list in themes/your_theme/theme.php and edit it to suit your needs. If $template_album_list isn't in your theme.php file then copy it there from themes/sample/theme.php.

WickedElf

Ok, it's not in my theme.php, so I went to the sample one.   And found:
EOT;
// HTML template for the album list
$template_album_list = <<<EOT

<!-- BEGIN stat_row -->
        <tr>
                <td colspan="{COLUMNS}" class="tableh1" align="center"><span class="statlink"><b>{STATISTICS}</b></span></td>
        </tr>
<!-- END stat_row -->
<!-- BEGIN header -->
        <tr>
<!-- END header -->
<!-- BEGIN album_cell -->
        <td width="{COL_WIDTH}%" valign="top">
        <table width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">
        <tr>
                <td colspan="3" height="1" align="left" valign="top" class="tableh2">
                        <span class="alblink"><a href="{ALB_LINK_TGT}"><b>{ALBUM_TITLE}</b></a></span>
                </td>
        </tr>
        <tr>

        </tr>
        <tr>

                                <tr>
                                       {TABS}

                        </table>

        </tr>
<!-- END tabs -->
<!-- BEGIN spacer -->
        <img src="images/spacer.gif" width="1" height="7" border="" alt="" /><br />
<!-- END spacer -->

If I copy and paste that (without editing anything yet) into my theme.php... it breaks the site.   :o  Nothing gallery-related loads, I just get a blank white page.  Do I need to put something before it to define it or anything?

All my theme.php currently has in it is:
define('THEME_HAS_RATING_GRAPHICS', 1);
define('THEME_HAS_NAVBAR_GRAPHICS', 1);
define('THEME_IS_XHTML10_TRANSITIONAL',1);

$template_sys_menu_spacer='';

Thanks!!

Paver

First of all, the "EOT;" at the top should be at the bottom.  You are supposed to copy from the first comment (// HTML template for the album list) to the next comment.

WickedElf

Oh great!  Ok, so that fixed that part.

Thanks!   ;D

Paver

edit: Oops.  I split a post to a new thread, but left my reply here (shown below).  So the reply below is in response to that other post.  Oh well.

You shouldn't reply to "Solved" threads unless you are asking a question that is a clarification question on something already discussed.

Start a new thread and reference this thread with whatever you think is relevant.

I'll split this off into a new thread for you, this time.   :-\
