2 Days ago, our webhoste had updated his server. and all PHP files had the following Permissions:  644

Now, you can see the permissions of all PHP files. (@ Now)

Permission: 755

setting up users (or more generally: user management itself) is totally unrelated to folder/file permissions, as this is done with mySQL - the users, their permission, albums etc. are all stored in the mySQL db.
If your webhost has changed permissions on the albums folder, you might not be able to add pics to your gallery, but everything else will continue to work!

I can add pics to my gallery. But i cant change permissions.

Joachim Müller

please understand: file/folder permissions are not related to group/user permission. If you can't change file/folder permissions, contact your webhost. If you can't change things in user management, try looking at your cpg11d_user and cpg11d_usergroups with a tool like phpMyAdmin and check if you can modify stuff  there (but be carefull unless you know what you're doing. Better make a backup of your database first before modifying things!).

PHP runs  as CGI, so different commans , for example "virtual", are deaktivated.

an Idea?

I have the same problem. With phpmyadmin I can change the group but not with cpg
