Transmiting malicious spam

Hi,

My hosting provider, where I have installed coppermine-gallery (ver. 1.4.5), has inform me that applicattion is vulnerable - it allowed hackers to exploit my account to transmit malicious spam to other internet users.

So they had to lock my account.

Can somebody help me with this?
Is this known vulnerability, or I have some other error in application.
