Its from the FAQ's (How can I display the name of the uploader with the picture info?), but there is a post from the old board:

http://coppermine.sourceforge.net/oldboard/viewtopic.php?t=1843

I think I might have a problem with add the mysql tag:

ALTER TABLE `cpg11d_pictures` ADD INDEX ( `owner_id` );

I have access to phpMyAdmin and I don't understand were do I put that at?
If you can post a step-by-step instructions please...

Joachim Müller

you shouldn't run modifications that were meant for cpg1.1 on your cpg1.2 install, unless you know what you're doing. If you're not familiar with running queries, you should learn the basics first. Did you read the documentation that comes with phpMyAdmin?

P.S. We're not your personal hotline on all computer-related issues.

Hi all :) new here and new with coppermine, installed yesterday.

Well I've done it (shame on me   ) and it works right
But I was searching for another thing, I've noticed that (I'm the administrator) if I upload a picture in user mode CPG store my id 1 with the picture record, if I do the same in admin mode the id is 0... I guess this means user anonymous.

The fix is simple, switch to user mode before uploading, that way my id is stored with the picture, but I setup my private album visible just to power_users  (a group I created with unlimited disk quota) I suppose the administrator is also a power_user but not. So, for every picture uploaded I got an error because I'm not able to see it.
The same happens if I batch upload (something allowed only in admin mode) all the pictures records stores an user id 0.

I want to ask if there is an easy way to have the right id associated with administrator pictures, or if you suggest to keep an admin account just to manage things and a separate account for using the gallery.

Hope I explained well...

Cheers

I got a question: Would it still work if i were to upload using the XP web publishing?

Hi,

i have read the descreption in the faq step by step. And i maked it step by step. Now i have under the picture the field 'Username'.

But only new users where show with the username. Pictures from old users where show without the name.

What is the problem and how i can solve it?

Thanks
Lars
