Error when uploading image plus image missing

I didn't change anything about it.

When I wanna upload a picture (the usual way, the ftp is allright) an error occurs and here's the message :

Destination directory albums/userpics/10001/ is not writable by the script !

Aight. Anybody can help me?

And in one of my albums, somehow the image just dissapeared, what I mean is you can view the album but it won't view the image. In the gallery, it's the MFX2 Launch Album.

• do not upload to "userpics" with ftp! Upload to any other subfolder of "albums", but not to the subfolder "userpics"! Don't ("just don't" - to repeat Tarique's sig).
• make sure you CHMODed albums and all subfolders correctly (755 or 777, depending on your server config).[/list:o]

Awww man I didn't know that. Anyway how do you suggest I correct this situation? Ermm, cause I can't do anything to the 00001 and 00002 and 00003 folders, can't change permissions and all. Can't I delete and re-create the folders?

don't touch the folders by ftp - just delete the files from the database by using the built-in mechanisms with coppermine admin interface.
