We have a site running Coppermine Photo Gallery 1.3.2 and phpBB 2.0.13 bridged.

Truth be known, the forums have never really taken hold, and we get more spammer siginups than legitimate forum traffic.  We have decided to remove the forums, but we do not want to break the photo gallery.

Can anyone give me a quick and dirty description of how to get rid of phpbb without afffecting our Coppermine install?

Thanks,

Steve

There is no quick way. You need to move your users from the forum db to your coppermine db manually using phpmyadmin. Search the board for previous discussions on this.

It might help us to take a look at your gallery - if you have little community activity in it (i.e. few or no user uploads), removing the bridge will be pretty straightforward. Please post a link and non-admin test user account.

The test user account is "Testuser" with the password "test"

The URL to the forum is http://www.webconline.org/phpBB2

The URL to the gallery is http://www.webconline.org/gallery/

Thanks,

Steve

Page is down for me. I can ping the server, but the page times out.

Not sure why... the site is up now.
