The only way to get them back is to keep a record (spreadsheet, etc.) of the hacks you have made. I keep one with a column for the URL that links to the appropriate forum if I got the hack from this board. You can also use a diff viewer to compare your old file to the new version (hopefully you have an archive of your old code before upgrading). With the diff viewer you will see the changes highlited and know what to change.

This all pretty much applies if you are upgrading from 1.4.x to 1.4.8, if you are upgrading from an older versions the hacks may not apply to the newer version and you will have to search the forum to see if a new version of the hack has been written.

Sorry, you will need to do a search in the forum, if that's where you got the mod.

Something I do to keep track of my mods is to have a list of stuff I do on my gallery, including links to mods. This is helpful to my gallery visitors who might like to use the mods, too, and for myself to remember what I did. :)

There are several methods to organize your mods - I prefer commenting the code changes and doing diffs when upgrading.
