Well, rocket scientist that I am... I installed everything (updated to new version), then tried to run install, which gave me an error saying I had to delete the install.lock file... which i did, then ran the install... which broke my gallery.   :-[

So.  What now?   ???

http://www.thecorridors.com/thedarkroom  is the url where the gallery is located.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Restore include/config.inc.php from a backup or manually edit it with the details from your original gallery.

Um.  Uh oh.  Where/how do I get a backup?  Or.. how do I edit that file?   ???

Hi,

I tried to find the original thread, but can't seem to.  Anyway, I upgraded to the newest version of Coppermine, tried to run the install and got a msg saying it was already run and was locked (though I hadn't run it).  The message also said to run the install again I had to delete the lock file, which I did... which totally broke the gallery.

I don't have a backup of the config file and was told I could 'edit' the current one with the right information... but I've no idea what that means or what info I'm supposed to put in there, or where I'm supposed to get that info.   ??? ??? ???

This gallery has hundreds of photos, so I can't exactly delete this gallery and start over again.

Can someone please help me with the config file, explain to me what goes where (exactly)?  I have no clue at all.  :(

You can see the error by going to the gallery:  http://www.thecorridors.com/thedarkroom

Thanks in advance, and I'm sorry I had to post this twice.  I just couldn't find the original thread anywhere.

You can get the information by looking at your databases in phpmyadmin and find the corresponding user account wherever you setup such things, perhaps in the cpanel db section if that is what you use. Follow the update instructions when updating to avoid such issues.

You're not suppossed to run install.php during the upgrade process. Do as Nibbler suggested: read the docs and do exactly as suggested there.
