is there a simple way to move this section to the top of the index page instead of the bottom?  I'd like to place a welcome paragraph there explaining the site, etc.

I figured this has probably been done before - but my search didn't turn up, too much.

Thanks, all.

It's the same place where you added anycontent in Config: The content of the main page. Instead of adding it to the end of the list, put it at the front

I'm not really sure that I fully understand.  I didn't have to do anything to have it, I merely added content to the anycontent.php page and it was automatically inserted at the bottom of the page... are we maybe talking about different versions or am I just missing something?

Did you read the manual first???? Taking 2 minutes to backup your files can save you hours of wondering what you screwed up.

Thanks... problem solved.

I'd actually read that part of the manual but I didn't really understand that it was saying that I had control over vertical placement.  It just sort of hit me this time when I read it again.

Thanks.  :)
