The default style won't save? I've changed it to "Rainy Day"...

Try refreshing your cookies. This usually fixes it.
Did you read the manual first???? Taking 2 minutes to backup your files can save you hours of wondering what you screwed up.

Add this to your gallery url:
?theme=xxx

This will reset to the theme set in Config
