Upgrade CPG1.3.2 to newest version keeping gallerys and albums?

I've the following question:
Is it possible to upgrade CPG 1.3.2 to the newest CPG version (1.4.x) in a way that keeps the existing gallerys, albums, users, comments and so on? And how?

My web hosting provider told me to upgrade my 1.3.2  as soon as possible because of security issues.
