Login not working...

I had installed Coppermine 1.4.8 and had it running well, but I think I accidentally overwrote a few files and now it doesn't give me any of the admin tools when I log in.  I completely removed the Coppermine files from my web server and uploaded them all over again, started at install.php, entered all of the info again, but still when I log in as the admin, I don't get access to any of the admin buttons.  In fact, it just takes me back to the main page and doesn't log me in at all.  It doesn't say that I logged in incorrectly, it just seems to ignore me.

I'd appreciate any help anyone can give me.  I've been working on this all morning and I'm at my wit's end.
