Can Coppermine be Updated with Fantastico on the CPanel.net control panel?

I am a user with CPanel and they have the Fantastico installer utility.
Currently Coppermine v1.4.2 is the working version found at the cpanel.net control panel
at my host beachcomber.net.
Is it possible to get the latest v1.4.8 working with Fantastico and if it is  what do we
need to do to get the version updated at my host at beachcomber.net.
Also where would one find the latest instructions to install Coppermine manually?

Don't use fantastico. The fact that the version they provide is 6 versions out of date tells you all you need to know about them.
