when ever a user sends an ecard from cpg, does a copy of image is sent as a email or the image is hyperlinked in the email? :'(

Joachim Müller

Hyperlink is being sent. Why don't you try to find out on your own - should be pretty easy? Just send an ecard to yourself and check if there are attachments inside the email you receive.

miztiik

Well there are some emails where the images are embeded in the mail and doesn't show up as attachments. so i thought it could be like that too..so just to make sure i made a post here

so this kinda could bleed my bandwidth? If i am right?

Nibbler

It would count towards your bandwidth, but I don't think it would be significant.

Joachim Müller

Wouldn't make a difference, bandwidth wise: if the file is being sent as an attachment, it counts to your bandwidth just as if the hyperlinked image is being retrieved by the email client.

Nibbler

Depends how the bandwidth is measured. Also if the image is sent as an attachment it can be re-read, forwarded etc without redownloading the file so it could have a postitive or negative effect on bandwidth.
