Upgraded on Tuesday, I have been able to login myself and upload but the first user tries to login and it wont log her in.  It says welcome Zarawen and then it is just the same screen that doesnt say logged in - still says login.  So because she cant login - she cant upload.

Tried to have her redo her account because I cant see her name in my userlist but it says that she is already a user.

How can I fix this?

Thanks,

Brandi

I just realized that this user was part of a special group I set up and that group name isnt showing up either so maybe they are not showing up because that group is not there.  I tried to add a new group but I dont remember exactly how I spelled that old group name and I am not sure if it added it correctly.

I am SO sorry if this is changing topic, I am just trying to add additional information to help someone more easily problem solve this issue.

Thank you,
Brandi

Surprisingly, we'd need a link to your page and a non-admin test user account to be able to help you ::)

Thanks so much for your reply.

Here is the link:

The Username is: zarawen
The password is: spellfire

Here is also a link to some samples she did with that login ID before the upgrade:

Thank you again,

Not sure what happens here: the login you posted doesn't stick, although another one (I registered as test user "gaugau" with password "foobar") sticks perfectly well. Did you apply any mods?

That will happen if the group the user is in no longer exists. Inspect the groups table using phpmyadmin and if necessary re-create the group making sure the group id number matches the group id assigned to the user in the users table.

This sounds like exactly what the problem is.  How do I find this PHP My Admin thing?  Is it a file?  The only place I can see my users is the "Users" button at the top of my page when I log in as Admin but she is not listed there because of this issue so I cant even see what group she used to belong to.

Would it be easier if I just have this person re-make a new account?

Thanks,

If you don't have phpMyAdmin (it's a third party tool that your mayhost may be providing to you; alternatively you could download it yourself and install it from their homepage. [more]), you could edit the user's profile and make him member of a group that actually exists. Primary group (dropdown) should be "registered", secondary group (checkboxes) could be any valid group (or none). [more]

Thanks so much!  That should take care of this issue!
