Password to upload images to a specific album

Hi, Newbie here - (although I've managed to get the gallery up and running OK up to now!!)

I'm struggling with permissions for specific albums. I want to allow users who know the 'Album Password' the ability to upload images into that album. I also want to allow guest viewing of the albums, as well as requiring a log-in to upload files (this being specifically to the specified album)

In the Album properties window I can add an album password and hint and reading the help menu it says "Note: when setting an album password, the permission dropdown field "Album can be viewed by" will be switched automatically to "me only" - this is expected behaviour. If you change the "Album can be viewed by" to another selection, you must disable the album password as well."

All well and good except none of the dropdown windows appear anywhere...

I've tried the 'show private album to unlogged user' YES/NO switch which doesn't appear to change anything.

Also, in my current config I have an 'allow all' basic set up for testing. In this config after an upload the album with the password applied doesn't show as being available to load the file into.

Can anyone help ??

Enable 'albums can be private' in config.

Thanks, - I already tried that, alone it makes the album disappear from view (from both logged in users and anonymous) although combined with 'show private album icon' selected, the album can be seen and access to the images in the album IS restricted by the album password.

OK, I have a password set to restrict viewing of the album...

I must add that the only way the permission dropdown field appeared was after setting 'allow personal gallery' in the groups manager, previously, I had all groups with personal gallery not allowed. (I don't want to provide personal galleries) Now, I have just Administrators allowed personal galleries, and the dropdown field is active.

My problem still exists. I was hoping the album password would ALLOW the upload of images to the password protected album. INSTEAD, when attempting to upload an image, the album doesn't even appear in the list of available loading locations.

Is there a configuration that will allow this ?
