I have moved my gallery to a new server, i backed up the database restored it on my new server and uploaded the full coppermine folder to the new server, It now works but it appears the images are missing, when i looked at the full url of one of the images and then looked at the site the image is not in the image folder, Does the script change image names for any reasons on the fly, I dont know much about php but just that i downloaded the whole folder with everything in and reuploaded to new server. I cant do much with the old server has I can no longer connect to the database have a critical error for some reason after not changeing any usernames or passwords hence i am moving to new hosts.

Cheers

ok Have sorted my problem now, for information it was basically a corrupt sql file and I think hers's why,
I was unable to get into phpmyadmin on old server so i used cpanel to backup the database, the site i wanted to tranfer the database to was not using cpanel so the backup i now had would not work.

I then used an acocunt of a site where i did have cpanel and phpmyadmin access and installed the cpanel backup database here, then i backed up the from here via phpmyadmin. I now had a backup in sql format (the.zipped would not work) and used this to create new database on new server. So this was where i was at on my last post.

ok after many more support tickets I then had access to phpmyadmin on the server i am transfering from so was able to get a backup from here tranfered it in the normal way to my new server everything now works.

Hope that makes sence but anyway all ok now sweat over.

Cheers

Ian
