hi, Im new here! I have a question... Where can I dawnload the program? is it free? ???

Joachim Müller

Download link is at top of this page (the link that says "Downloads"). On the downloads page, get the most recent stable coppermine release (currently cpg1.4.9). You then choose the mirror that is closest to you -> your download should start.

Coppermine is being released under the GNU GPL license and can be downloaded and used free of charge.

Please use a better subject line next time you post.

After downloading, unzip the package and read the documentation that comes with it (link available at the top of this page as well). There's a newbie tutorial available as well named "Download, unpack, upload" that should guide you through the first steps.

ok, I cant find the set up...

And please respect board rules in the future: you mustn't PM me nor any other dev/supporter. Allow days for answers, not hours.

CMParts

ok, sorry. But, I dawnload it, but, I cant find the set up...

Joachim Müller

Read the documentation as I suggested. FYI, Coppermine is not a desktop app. There is no install.exe or setup.exe like for Windows-driven Desktop apps. Coppermine is a web app. I'm not sure that you have the needed skills - Coppermine is aimed at webmasters.

oh, I need a server?

lamama

Could be helpful if you want to start an internet gallery. That's what Coppermine is for.  ::)

Joachim Müller

Well, you don't need to own one, but you need webspace on a server (with certain minimum requirements that are outlined in the docs) - shared webhosting is fine. Judging from the PM you sent me, you already appear to have webspace (as you suggested taking a look at your existing website there).
Please read the docs. Read them now. After having read them, you're allowed to ask more questions.
