Hi,

I want to create a link in the category description that when its is clicked on - a new page appears ina new browser window, so keeping the original page behind the new one.

ie a popup - or in plain html target=blank
Now, I know that I can use bb code-but I can't find anything that solves this.

Like it does in this posting? How does this work here??

Here's a link to an online tutorial - http://www.htmlcodetutorial.com/linking/_A_TARGET_95y98y108y97y110y107y.html. Pretty straightforward.

[EDIT] - Use Nibbler's link to be standard compliant.
Did you read the manual first???? Taking 2 minutes to backup your files can save you hours of wondering what you screwed up.

You can't use <html>. The bbcode that is allowed can be found in the docs: 4.10 Using bbcode to insert links and special formatting in various description fields

Yes thanks - I do undersatnd that [honest] - I was hoping that i could create links in the Cat Description that when clicked on - opened in a new window - specifically in the Cat Description  - but I assume I cannot do that. The links I have created now as you can see, open in the same browser window.. its a personal thing .. but never mind.
