Crititcal error - on main gallery page

on the main page of my gallery I get this "There was an error while processing a database query"

I don't see any error's in the mysql log. I did have to change the schema.sql to get rid of the text/blob error, that's the only thing I did. Once the install was finished I get the above error

Any thoughts before I uninstall and try again?

I'm using php 4.3.1 and mysql 5.0.26 and IIS 6
