Problem in uploading files

Hi,
I have some problem in uploading files.
I've search some information on this forum but didn't find any solution for my problem:
it's also quite difficult for me to explain exactly what happens because I'm not a genius with the english language...
in a few words:
I do the upload of the pictures from the folder of my personal photos to a folder on the file manager of the website and that goes correctly.
Than I go on the gallery and try to add batch, I see the files that I would like to upload on the gallery, but when I try to upload them, I can't because "it's impossible to create the miniature or image with intermediate dimentions".
I'm waiting for your consulting...
