Hi there!

I have read the FAQ, DOCS and almost every topic in the forum but still i cant find the solution for my problem.
I use the cpg1.4.10.

My problem is that i just cant reach the "bridgemanager wizard".
The steps i do is that i login as the admin on the coppermine and i am trying to start bridging but the wizard wont start, the page just returns blank with no errors.

I have updated the files "udb_base.inc.php", "phpbb22.inc.php", "phpbb2018.inc.php" and "phpbb.inc.php"(I took all the phpbb files just because i had phpbb 2.0.21 and didnt know which one was the correct)

the coppermine is located at; www.stekarn.com/KV/coppermine
the forum i want to bridge to(no bridging are made yet) at; www.stekaren.forum24.se

Best regards.

You don't need to do anything with the files, just use those provided with the package.

You can't bridge across different domains.

Stekarn

OK, and thank you for the extremly quick answer!

I dont really understand, sorry.

I tried to access the bridge manager before updating the files without success and now after the update (i guess that i allready had the latest updates) i still cant reach the wizard. As i posted earlier, when i click on the "bridge manager" the pages just comes back completely blank.

And about the domains, dont get it?

Sorry for my bad english, stupid swedish-guy ;)

Bridging relies on cookies, and cookies can only be read from the domain on which they were set. To bridge with your setup you would need to move both your gallery and forum so that they reside on the same domain name.

Stekarn

ok.
So if i put the forum at the same domain (www.stekarn.com/KV/phpbb) the wizard will work correctly?

It must be a bright wizard that feels if the forum is located at the same domain...

Stekarn

Hello again!

Now the forum and coppermine are on the same domain.
coppermine - www.stekarn.com/KV/coppermine
phpbb2 - www.stekarn.com/KV/phpbb2

But I´m not certain about the database tables i have created. In the coppermine installation i entered "forum" in the table prefix box but in the phpbb2 installation i entered "forum2" though the installation couldnt go through when i entered "forum" so i created a new table with the name forum2.

I still cant access the bridge manager, just a blank page.

Once again, sorry for my bad english.

When going to http://www.stekarn.com/KV/coppermine/bridgemgr.php I get
QuoteParse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /customers/stekarn.com/stekarn.com/httpd.www/KV/coppermine/bridgemgr.php on line 1379
, so the file is corrupt. Re-upload it (preferably a vanilla copy from another mirror). Make sure to use a "real" FTP app, not some crap like MS Frontpage. Make sure that the FTP app is set to overwrite files existing on the server. Make sure to use the proper FTP mode.

Joachim

P.S. Coppermine is not a forum app, but a gallery, so I don't understand why you chose the table prefix "forum_" for it. However, it won't hurt to, it's just a name.
