I use version 1.4.3

How can I establish that a user must log in first to see the large picture but still can see the small one.

I have already searched for hours and everything I've tested didn't succeed. I can make a gallery disappear, and when you logg in it comes back, but this isn't what I want.

Can someone help me with this?

Don't! It's mandatory to upgrade, most recent stable version is cpg1.4.10!
