I've been following some of the threads on the board most recently this one: http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=37719.0

I created an album as administrator. I set the upload rights under Groups and also Album properties. Registered users are still unable to upload images without first creating their own album - is this correct. All new registered users must first create their own album? I  would prefer they don't create any album at all and just upload direct to the one I have specified.

Any help much appreciated.

Post a link to your gallery and a non-admin test user account with upload privileges to those albums. Attach a screenshot of your groups page to your posting (using "additional options" when composing your message).

I'm sorry, access to your site is blocked for me, can't access and test it. Maybe another supporter could look into this? Thanks.

You don't have any public albums, all you have are user galleries. I already explained this in the thread you refer to.

enquirer64,

When you create your album as administrator, create it under the "no category" category instead of the "My Gallery" category, then you can grant public access.  It became clearer for me when I created a category called "Public" under the Parent Category of "No category".  Now both "User galleries" and "Public" appear in the category list, and I can do what I want with albums within the "Public" category.
