Clicking on intermediate image no longer opens full size image in window.

The gallery was working fine, but it's slowly ground to a halt, and eventually all links to full size images disappeared.

Some intermediate images would open a full sized one when clicked on, and some wouldn't do anything, despite being uploaded at the same time into the same album.

I then deleted all albums and categories, and reverted back to factory settings, and then created a new album.

This allowed me to open up a full size image once when clicking on the intermediate image, but not a second time.

In all cases, I see the Javascript:; text on the bottom LHS while I mouseover the intermediate image.

Any ideas what could cause this.

Hi Nibbler,
It's doing it now - I could click on the intermediate image, which opens up the full sized one. I then close the full sized one, and then clicking on the intermediate image does nothing....

I can't figure this out!!
I'm in the Architecture/Futuristic album, and I've just uploaded jodrell.jpg

It let me click on it 3 times, all of which opened up the full size image, and now the 4th click does nothing. I can still get 2 of the other images in this album to work, and it's just a matter of time before they too stop responding.

I'm totally baffled - I don't think it's related to permissions/cookies/Javascript - none of these things are intermittent or suffer from cumulative problems.....

Any other ideas - can you definately get every image to work all the time (sorry to ask all this!)

Yes, works fine up to at least 10 clicks. Try a different browser.

I know what you mean - I'm at work now, and it works fine from here.

I think I only have the problem with my laptop at home.

Please can you explain the process of opening the full size image. I presume it's all client side Javascript - but is there more going on than just opening a file in another window?

I'm wondering if something is timing out? I noticed in the Admin Tools/Reload file dimensions and size information (1) section is mentions to try this option if you experience timeout problems - what is this about?

Also, is it possible to please remove my post that provides my URL and the account (which is now disabled anyway) or just delete the relevant text?

Thanks very much for your help Nibbler, and for removing the relevant info so quickly.
I still have the problem, but only from home when on the LAN (I think). Other PCs from public IPs are OK, which I guess is the most important thing as I want it to be a publicly viewable gallery.

I have marked this as solved, seeing as it appears to be a client side issue. Nobody else can look into the issue without the link anyway.
