Hello,

I was just wondering how hard it might be to create a theme in Coppermine that looks like a Gallery2 theme - specifically PGTheme which evolved from their Matrix theme.  The reason I ask is that I really like G2's themes better (cleaner look and feel).  But Coppermine performs better/faster on my host server (Globat).

Have a look at my Gallery2 (G2) site here:
http://www.lightquestphoto.com/gallery2

I really like the overall layout, colors, mouse overs, microthumbs on the right, etc...  I know Coppermine and G2 are both open source template and PHP based galleries.  But the designs (the way things are rendered and run) seems really different from that point on.

The only thing remotely close I could find in Coppermine is Transmission or CaliSkin.  But I think it might be easier to start from scratch rather than hack the heck out of those themes.

Has anyone attempted such a port before for any Gallery theme (ie - Matrix, PHTheme, etc...)?  I htink it would be nice to have something like this available for Coppermine users.  Any idea how difficult this would be to create within the Coppermine framework of rendering objects.  I have done some editing of CaliSkin theme.php and added some G2 icons which I prefer.  But I have no idea how much effort would be involved with such a G2 port.

Any ideas appreciated.

Thanks,

Derek
