coppermine not generating friendly URLs - Help

I have been working with coppermine for about a month now. I have one major issue I can't seem to find anywhere on this forum or in the admin area on how to resolve it.

I have uploaded some pictures, given them appropriate filenames and 'tagged' them all. However in order to 'link' to the photo from somewhere else on my site I have to use the url provided under the photo which does not include the filename and therefore not very search engine friendly.

here is an example of one of the urls http://www.scrapbookersinnercircle.com/coppermine/displayimage.php?pos=-7

There is an unsupported plugin named SEF_URLs - try it if it works for you (no guarantees). Apart from that, there's nothing we could possibly advise.
