Hi there.

I have recently changed hosts. I backed up the db and installed it onto the new one.

Then, noticed that the gallery was very very slow. Discovered that coppermine was still pointing to the old db in the US somewhere (I'm in Australia). So, I went back to get the latest back up of the db and I can't contact the guys that are looking after it. They've gone on holidays. Hooray!

So, my gallery IS functioning but I can't get my db. Is there any other way of retrieving it except for going through MyPhpAdmin and doing a dump?

Thanks.

Nibbler

Dump it from phpmyadmin. You have access to it so what is the problem? Edit include/config.inc.php to correct the db information.

Hi

No, I don't have access. The hosts have changed the password (they were a third party) and I can't get in. They have gone on holidays.

Otherwise, it would be simple.  :)

Well, if the gallery works (but works slowly), you have access to the database itself, right? Just set up phpMyAdmin on your webspace and point it to the slow database. It doesn't matter if you have access to the webspace of your old webhost. A connection to the database is all that it takes.
