Should all my photos still be located in my DB?

The problem is I tried to upload new .php files to remove the mods I have previously added. My gallery is now the wrong gallery, would this just be the url location of the images is wrong? I still have the images on my FTP file in the albums folder.

basically which file would contain the database name & password etc so I can change it?
