I set Coppermine up OK and it works. I configured it to what I thought it would look like. But that was just for me!!! My screen is nice and pretty with defined home, register, and login buttons at the upper left. For anyone else, there's a tiny little home button, and when the mouse passes over that a home, register, and login URL is revealed, then they go away again. I want everyone to see the same screen I do. I like the way it looks. I don't want everyone to have the same rights, though. How do I make it do that? The default theme configered is eyeball, with no theme dropdown list. Thanks

I am attaching two pictures. One is how the screen looks for me. One is how it looks to everyone else.

The reason it looks different is because mine is "Rainy Day" and everyone else is "Eyeball". In config, when I change to Rainy Day, save, and display the config panel again, it still says Eyeball. How do I make it do what I want?

dmcdivitt

I tried saving several themes in config. Some save and some don't. The one I want, Rainy Day, is one that won't. It may be because Rainy Day is spelled with a lower case D. If someone better at PHP than me could research this bug, I'd appreciate it, possibly even give a fix. Thanks

The themes work fine if selected from the dropdown. In the config I told it to use the dropdown. But in the config, if I tell it to use '"Rainy Day" as the default theme, save, then display configuration again, it will not be saved. A couple other themes are like that, too. I think it's because "Rainy Day" is spelled with a lower case D. I don't know PHP that well, but I can do text and file name searches in the source code to see if it's a spelling issue. Haven't had a chance to do that yet.

For the hell of it I tried to save Rainy Day again and it worked this time! Weird

A problem is that it saves the previous theme in a cookie or something. On my screen it won't display the default theme which is now Rainy Day. I have to log back in as admin, change the config to use the dropdown, choose Rainy Day in the dropdown, then change the config back to not use the dropdown. That sucks. I wonder how many club members are stuck with EyeBall or something. The program needs to be changed so when the theme is obtained from the cookie, if there is no dropdown and if it doesn't match the default, it is changed to the default.

To kill the cookie with IE I blocked cookies for the site, displayed a page, then allowed cookies again. That worked OK. The program needs to be changed to fix the theme - cookie problem.
