Auto generate categories

I am going to use coppermine at work to create a parts catalogue, the parts catalogue already exsists within one of our other systems.

The question is can I some how import my exsisting catalogue into my new one?
I don't have the photos yet but would like to add them as I go the first thing is to auto create all my categories and sub categories.

Any help would be appreciated

Take a look at the MassImportPlugin.
