I have my forum installed on the root directory (so no "forum" folder).

My details are as follows:

Coppermine install: http://www.siberiansiren.com/photos/
Forum install: http://www.siberiansiren.com/
Coppermine version: cpg1.4.10
Forum version: phpBB 2.0.21
Test user account: test/test

BridgeManager settings:
Forum URL:  http://www.siberiansiren.com
Relative path to your BBS's config file:  ../
Use post-based groups?:  1
Cookie name/prefix: phpbb2mysql

After enabling bridging in the bridgemgr.php, logging out and then trying to log in, the following happens:

1. I get directed to http://www.siberiansiren.com/login.php?redirect=photos/ in order to log in.
2. After logging in, instead of going to the photos (coppermine album), it shows a directory list when going to http://www.siberiansiren/photos/, instead of display the index page.

Please note also the following things:

1. I also have ezPortal installed on my forum (so that acts as the front page). Typing http://www.siberiansiren.com would take you to the portal.php
2. I have created an .htaccess file within my webroot with the following code:

"DirectoryIndex portal.php index.html index.htm"

This is in order for someone who types www.siberiansiren.com to go to the portal.php page instead of the forum page as the first page they access, without it having to say portal.php in the URL address.

3. My forum URL is www.siberiansiren.com/index.php. Even if I change the .htaccess file to read "DirectoryIndex index.php index.html index.htm" (ie making the forum the first page), all that happens after going to http://www.siberiansiren.com/login.php?redirect=photos/ is that I come to the photos/index.php page, but I am still not logged in (it says "log in" at the top rather than showing my name - when I click on that, it takes be back to the portal page to log in, and then if you go back to photos/index.php it again shows not logged in etc).

4. If I type www.siberiansiren.com/index.php under the Forum URL, what happens is that I get redirected back to the forum page, but the pictures (logo, button graphics etc) are missing and I am unable to log on. I then have to disable bridging by going back to the bridgemgr.php

While having an .htaccess of ""DirectoryIndex index.php index.html index.htm" rather than "DirectoryIndex portal.php index.html index.htm" can get me back one step closer to the photos/index.php it still does not work, as stated above. What I would like to be able to do is keep the .htaccess of ""DirectoryIndex portal.php index.html index.htm" (so that the portal is the main page without saying "portal.php" in the address) but be able to log into the coppermine photo gallery the same way everyone else does.

I have left the .htaccess with the ""DirectoryIndex portal.php index.html index.htm" on while someone takes a look at my site and hopefully tells me how to solve this problem.

Help appreciated.

Thanks

Nibbler

Correct the directory index issue by using a .htaccess in the photos directory (DirectoryIndex index.php).

Correct the login issue by setting the correct cookie name (siberiansi_forum).

Thanks!!! It worked. I was trying to figure it out for so long but you solved it really quickly. Thanks so much.

I am having the same problems with my site.

Coppermine install: http://www.connect2party.nl/gallery
Forum install: http://www.connect2party.nl
Coppermine version: cpg1.4.10
Forum version: phpBB 2.0.21

BridgeManager settings:
Forum URL:  http://www.connect2party.nl
Relative path to your BBS's config file:  ../
Cookie name/prefix: phpbb2mysql

If I try to go to the gallery it is telling me to log in and if I do the script goes back to my portal.php....

Help???? ;)
