Advanced permissions for albums and categories

is it possible to add a new feature to modify usergroup permissions for different albums and categories?
the fact is that it's necessary to make some categories closed for some usergroups. and some - opened, so that they could create new albums and add files. just like the forum permissions...
besides it'll be very nice to set the owners for some albums (not only in user's gallery).
is it possible to add this?

1) Feature requests for future coppermine versions are suppossed to go into the corresponding board "feature requests"
2) More granular permissions have been requested often already. Not a trivial task.
3) One issue per thread!
