Hello all,

I have been looking for the following but couldn't find it. I tried to seach this forum but didn't find an answer to my question either.
I am looking for a way to close an album. Meaning disabling the opportunity to upload foto's to an album. The album should still be visible, but one should not be able to upload photo's anymore.
Does anyone know how to do this?

Thanx!

"visitors can upload" = "no".

I saw that. But I want more. I want to prevent that I ass an Admin by accident upload pics to that album. So I was looking for a more general album closing function.

Not available - admin rules, he can do anything he pleases, at any time. Maintaining a gallery as admin requires a certein amount of care. If you upload into an album by accident, you can move the pics easily once you realize your mistake.

GauGau, we know that this option is "Not available" now. but believe, it is necessary. it is really not convenient for admin to choose album during uploading files when there are a lot of albums. it drops a really big list. and a probability of a mistake is high enough.

is it really so difficult to put an option "closed" for an album or even for a category? i'll be very pleased.

It is possible if you code it. Maybe beneficial for you, but not for the majority of end users. Would require a change in the database structure. Go ahead and code it. For the benefit of others, post your code.

well... ok... i'll try if i'll manage to defeat my laziness :-)
