Hi i'm trying to install: "cpg1.4.10.zip" using the package manager in SMF 1.1.2

I get this error:

QuoteAn Error Has Occurred!
The package you tried to upload either is not a valid package or has become corrupted. 

Why do i get this error? Am i installing the wrong file? Is this compatible with SMF 1.1.2?

Coppermine is not an SMF package - it is an application in it's own right. To install follow the instructions in the documentation.

can this 'stand alone' install be integrated with SMF? i've seen people do that .. is it hard?

Do as Nibbler suggested and read the documentation that comes with Coppermine (link available as well at the top of this page).
