I'm in trouble :) Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted

Hi all!

I try to search some support of this forum, found some, but did not quit understand it... It seems that my webserver has some memory problems (?) and i really want to know what to do. So, can somebody kindly show me hand-in-hand-way how 

When i go my Coppermine gallery to upload photo, everything goes right and then this annoying message came along;

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 1697 bytes) in /usr/home/int2000/d/31851/html/kuvia/include/picmgmt.inc.php on line 262

What a heck is that mean  :-\ If anybody can help me, you can contact me in my mail or answer me here, i'm forever gratefully, if somebody can tell me how to make things work again...
