I have the same problem.
Login-->Username&pw--> and he take me to the previous page before Login but not logget in.
No error message.

When I was upgrading were missing files (those in red and yellow) but it work without that files good in that day.
(i think were 125 files missing)

First of all please upgrade to most recent version (currently 1.4.12) it's mandatory

My hosting prvider has offer 1.4.10 top version.
I upgraded it from 1.3... to 1.4.10 from Fantastico.
1.4.10 not good enought?
I will try to upgrade to 1.4.12 but first i must read
some tutorials.

If you search this forum for Fantastico you'll see that all users have major issues with it
Do not use auto installer script instead Download Coppermine from here by clicking on downloads link on top menu and do as suggested on upgrading doc , it's pretty easy
