A few questions on installation steps...

Ok. I downloaded Coppermine 1.4.12 and then created a directory on my site "photos" and uploaded the files to it through FTP and then I changed the permissions on "albums", "albums/userpics", "albums/edit", and the other directory i created inside albums that i titled "pics". I couldn't find the "include" file or directory... whatever or whereever it is so I wasn't able to change the permissions to 777 for that one. Even though i couldn't find the "include" I ended up going on the the next step to create a MySQL database and I just titled it photos.

Then I tried going to the url to begin installing (which to my understanding would be http://www.ilovethestate.net/coppermine/install.php) but I got all I got was a 404 error.

I'm confused on a couple things. First, the "include" and second the MySQL. Do I have to give it a specific name or something because all I did was go to my MySQL and made one called Photos. Is there more to it then just naming a MySQL?

Also, If I just go to my photo's url it comes up with my index of photos which has the cpg1412 folder and when I click on that it says,

So yeah, I'm aware that I could be making any number of mistakes but I'm hoping that someone out there would be able to help me out so I can get this thing up and running. Thanks!

When you run the installer it will ask you what the database was called, so you enter the name you chose there.

The include directory is a prt of Coppermine and should be in the package you downloaded. Once you upload that the error messages will go away.

You don't need to keep Coppermine in the cpg1412/ folder, you can move it up a level to make the url nicer.
