Can Coppermine be setup as a single User Gallery where there is no uploading by others, and where registration would not be required to browse images? In other words, can it be setup to display only my work yet allow others to browse?

Many thanks and keep up the excellent work!

Lyman

Thank you both.

The board is currently set to not allow Registrations, to allow Guest access (which will of course allow visitors to browse) and only myself has Administrator has priviliges. This is perfect, except that there is still the option to 'Log In' as seen in the attached screenshot, and I cannot help but wonder if this will confuse a Visitor. Of course I have to be able to log in, but is there a way to conceal that from a visitor? Any suggestions?

The site is: http://www.classonerailroads.com/

Many thanks,

Lyman

Just speaking as a web surfer, I don't think a log in link will confuse most users*. If they want to log in, they'll look for one, but if they can't register, they can't log in. Ask yourself if you have ever felt the compulsion to log in just because you see a log in link.

*Of course, if there is any remote chance of confusion, there will be some who will get confused anyway, but a lot worse things could happen that you would need to worry about.

Point well taken - thanks!

You could remove the login link entirely, which would mean that you (as admin) would have to go to the login page manually. As Thu suggested, I would leave things as they are. If you still feel that you need to remove the login link, use the plugin "Final_Extract v.2.3 with usergroup settings by admin panel"

I just went to your Site and it's great! Is that a Beta version of Coppermine that you are using? Or is the effect when clicking on an image from a PlugIn? An absolutely fantastic effect.

Thanks,

Lyman

Thu is using the Highslide plugin as far as I can see. Not related to this thread. Please respect the "one issue per thread" policy in the future.
