How do I upload my avatar so it will appear beside my posts here in the forums?  I created it and went to my profile page and looked under all the categories under Modify Profile but do not see how to upload it.

Not at all - we don't allow avatars for regular users, but only for members of privileged member groups. The feature has deliberately been disabled in our forum. Reason: this feature has been abused in the past.
Your question is not related to coppermine (which is the only thing you're allowed to post questions about on the support board), that's why I'm moving your thread from the sub-board "cpg1.4 miscellaneous" accordingly and locking it. Your question has been asked before, searching the board would have helped.
