I just upgraded to 1.4.10 from a very old version of Coppermine.  Everything went fine but I noticed when using a PC (I mostly use Mac 99% of the time) my melting film left theme would display the larger view of the images with strange white gradient on the bottom of the photos.  On a Mac using FireFox, this does not show up.  Many of my PC users are complaining of this problem.  Any solutions?

Here is a link to my site with a larger preview.

That is a feature of the theme you are using. If you don't want the feature then disable it (style.css - search for microsoft).

Why update to 1.4.10? 1.4.12 is the latest version.

The white gradeint is a feature?  Super bad move there.  The previous theme did not have it.  Why would anyone want that?  I'll look though the code and see what the deal is.

I only upgraded due to my host bugging me daily.  At the time, about 4 weeks ago, 1.4.10 was my only option that I knew of.

This is what I removed from the code

Quote.image {
   filter: progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Shadow(color=#8C0000,direction=135, strength=5) progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Alpha(Opacity=100, FinishOpacity=0, Style=1, StartX=0, StartY=0, FinishX=0, FinishY=100);
      border: 0;
}

As far as I can tell it's gone.  Honestly, why would anyone want this feature?

Thanks for your help!

I don't understand your attitude. A user of Coppermine has created a theme and contributed it to the community and all you do is complain.

Thread marked as solved.
