picEditor - Save just gives a blank page

I'm sure it used to work but hitting save or preview after rotating while using pic editor now just brings up a blank page and nothing happens to the image.

Any help appreciated.

Does this happen to all images or only large ones?

All images it seems. I have the gallery set to resize all uploaded images to 1024

I've just tried a clean install and with small files but it still doesn't work. Preview works if I do no editing but as soon as I rotate or resize and hit preview I just get a blank page.

As such I'm assuming it's a server side problem which I'm unable to do anything about. :'(
